SPECIFICATIONS FOR STAINLESS STEEL REDUCERS

1.0)SCOPE

This specification covers requirements for stainless steel reducers for use in aquatic piping systems where maximum resistance to corrosion, pressure and temperature is required.

2.0)REDUCER DESIGN

2.1) Reducer shall be flanged, concentric or eccentric type. 2.2) Reducer shall be rated for 50 psi (NON SURGE LOAD) at 75 deg. F. 2.3) Reducers shall be manufactured by Fluidtrol Process Technologies, Inc.

3.0) CONSTRUCTION

3.1) Strainer body shall be SCH 10 304 SS 3.2) Flanges shell be ANSI 150# Drilling Pattern

4.0) STANDARDS

4.1) All products/materials/welding shall conform to or exceed specifications as set forth in the following standards. AWSD1.1 AWSD1.2 ASME B31.4 ASME B31.9

1.0) SCOPE

This specification covers requirements for FRP/PVC reducers for use in aquatic piping systems where maximum resistance to corrosion, pressure and temperature is required.

2.0) REDUCER DESIGN

3.0) CONSTRUCTION

3.1) Reducer shall be of dual laminate construction: PVC with FRP over wrap schedule 40 PVC minimum, solvent fused and back welded prior to FRP over wrap. All joints to be spark tested. 3.2) Flanges shell be ANSI 150# Van Stone Type. 3.3) Exterior protection shall be unsaturated polyester resin-based gel coat – 10 mils minimum
